Also, AAA Battery Service is a convenient solution to the problem of dead or weak automotive batteries. If your car has less than 100,000 miles and is under 10 years old, you may be eligible for the protection of an extended service contract through AAA. AAA Plus provides added member benefits As a AAA member, you depend on AAA to be there when a flat tire leaves you stranded or you want a discount on a hotel stay, and when you upgrade your AAA membership to AAA Plus, you’ll be able to count on AAA for even more. AAA Plus extends the value of a AAA Classic membership to include more money-saving benefits and more extensive services, especially vital automotive services to protect you on the road. One highlight is that towing mileage is extended up to 100 driving miles, a dramatic increase from the AAA Classic limit of three driving miles. One tow could save you hundreds of dollars. In addition, if you run out of fuel, AAA will deliver a limited amount of fuel free of charge, enabling you to reach the nearest service station. AAA Plus members also receive up to a $100 reimbursement for locksmith services for when your keys are lost, broken or locked in the trunk, for instance. The lockout allowance is double the amount provided for Classic members. The amount for legal fee reimbursement for Plus members also is doubled to $1,800 from $900 for legal defense relating to a not-guilty plea on certain traffic violations. VIN Etch can deter theft As an effective theft deterrent, the Club will offer window etching of your vehicle’s VIN (vehicle identification number) at several AAA offices this spring. The cost for the service is $30 for AAA members and $40 for non-members, including six etchings per car. AAA offers discounts on insurance for VIN Etching.
