Insure your student

Many families this summer will prepare to send a child off to college. Now would be a good time to review your family’s health insurance plan.
Most policies continue to cover dependents between 19 and 25 years, as long as they are enrolled in school full-time.

But if your current policy does not provide coverage for your student, or if the added expense of out-of-network charges are a worry, temporary insurance coverage–some designed specifically for students–may be a solution.

Eligibility requirements vary so do your homework when looking at plans.

For students moving from home, the protection your homeowners policy has provided for his or her possessions and liability exposure most likely won’t go with your student. Renters insurance can help fill this gap.

Your local AAA insurance agent can help you find the plan that’s best for you. Call (800) AAA-CLUB (222-2582) or visit www.AAA.com.
