Road trip film partners with AAA to offer vacation sweepstakes

The dramatic scenery, such as Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats, is as much a character in the movie as the stars, from left, Joan Allen, Kathy Bates and Jessica Lange.
With its array of maps and popular TripTiks®, AAA is known for planning the perfect driving routes, so when a road trip film starring Jessica Lange was in the works, the film studio sought out AAA as a partner.

Now travelers can not only take the same trip that Lange took with her co-stars, Kathy Bates and Joan Allen, but they can enter a sweepstakes to win a number of fantastic vacations. The film, which is called “Bonneville,” is slated for wide release in March.

The movie is a contemporary story of adventure and coming-of-age for the second time in one’s life as three friends embark on a pilgrimage from Idaho through Utah and Nevada to Santa Barbara.

Showcasing such beautiful sights as Utah’s Bryce Canyon, the film might inspire travelers to hit the open road. In addition to its usual TripTiks®, available at www.AAA.com and in full-service AAA offices, AAA has created a special TripTik® that leads travelers along the same route in the film. Click on www.bonnevillethemovie.com to download the TripTik®.

Also available on that Web site is a sweepstakes that features five different prizes, including: a AAA Vacations® package to Walt Disney World; a Princess cruise to the Mexican Riviera; a stay at The Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas; a stay at the Red Mountain Spa in St. George, Utah; and a Forever Resorts Houseboats package.
