Ford celebrating its 100th anniversary

Published: May/June 2003

The Ford Motor Company, whose original goal was to “build a motor car for the great multitude,” is expecting a multitude of people to descend on its home in Dearborn, Mich., for the automaker’s 100th anniversary.

A special five-day event commemorating the company’s rich history will be held June 12–16 on the grounds of the Henry Ford II World Center in Dearborn. “The Road is Ours 100th Anniversary Celebration” will feature one of the world’s largest displays of classic, current and concept Ford vehicles, interactive displays and exhibits, children’s activities and a concert series with a wide range of headline entertainment, including country music superstar Toby Keith.

For more information about Ford and the celebration, visit the company’s anniversary Web site, which can be accessed through www.ford.com. The site includes an events guide.
