Alabama light display on Top 100 events list

Follow the glow to Huntsville-Madison County Botanical Garden’s Galaxy of Lights this holiday season. The mile-long lighted drive features more than 300 displays. Galaxy of Lights was included in the American Bus Association’s Top 100 Events list for 2002. Five themed areas–wildlife, nursery rhymes, an icicle forest, Christmas village and natural wonders–will be capped off with a patriotic display featuring animated, lighted fireworks. Walk through the Galaxy of Lights Nov. 22–26, visit with Santa and enjoy seasonal refreshments. The display will be open Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve. Galaxy of Lights raises funds for Huntsville-Madison County Botanical Garden in Huntsville, Ala. Admission is $10 per car.
