E-Ticket & Ticketless - Most airlines use electronic and ticketless methods of distribution. Below are a few issues for your consideration:
E-Ticketing is an electronic ticketing option offered by the major airlines. When this option is selected, AAA will generate an E-Ticket and fax or e-mail a copy of the itinerary with your seat assignments and confirmation numbers for air, car and hotel when applicable. Travelers present their confirmation number with a PHOTO ID at the curb, counter or gate.
Travelers will receive boarding passes at the counter, gate, airline club or courtesy counter when applicable.
E-Tickets are an excellent option for last minute reservations
When an E-Ticket is not used, please notify AAA to initiate a refund.
Ticketless - Southwest Airlines and other budget carriers issue all reservations ticketless. These transactions are processed directly with the airline. As with the E-Ticket, AAA will fax or e-mail an itinerary with the confirmation number and other reservation information.
Boarding passes are currently not available on most domestic carriers.
To refund a ticketless reservation, please notify AAA to initiate the refund.
