1. What will it cost annually to upgrade to Premier?
$25.00 per household in addition to your AAA Plus dues.
2. Is coverage limited to the United States on Trip Interruption and Vehicle Return benefits?
No…Premier members are covered in the United States and Canada
3. On the Vehicle Return policy does the vehicle have to be owned by the member?
Yes, the member must own the Vehicle. Return Vehicle benefits will not be payable if the Vehicle is a rental vehicle or a Vehicle with an original lease term of less than one year OR if the transportation of the Vehicle could have been performed by a Covered Person or by a traveling companion of a Covered Person. (For a definition of a Covered Person, refer to the membership handbook.)
4. How do I go about getting reimbursed for my Trip Interruption or Vehicle Return benefits?
If you have a question or need to file a claim
Please contact World Access Service Corp. (WASC) at 877-257-8074 as soon as possible. And have the following information ready:
1. Your name and group identification number (2186)
2. Your location and local telephone number
The WASC Service Associate will confirm your enrollment and provide you with assistance. This guide to travel insurance and services is (1) your Certificate of Insurance for the Trip Interruption and Vehicle Return Group Insurance coverage underwritten by BCS Insurance Company; and (2) your outline of administrative services provided by World Access Service Corp.
You must send written proof of loss, including any required information necessary to support the claim, to World Access within 90 days from the date of loss, or as soon after that date as reasonably possible, and in no event, except in the absence of legal capacity, later than one year from the time proof is otherwise required.
Please gather the information listed below if you have a covered loss during your Covered Travel, as it will be requested when you file a claim upon returning home.
General Documentation:
1. Receipts and itemized bills for all expenses (such as itemized food and lodging receipts)
2. Evidence of accident/theft (i.e. original police report)
3. Copy of payment for automobile repairs
4. Rental car receipts
5. Common carrier receipts
6. Copy of invoice from accredited professional transport company (Vehicle Return Benefit)
5. How long does it take to get your reimbursement on a previously filed claim for Trip Interruption and Vehicle Return benefits?
Benefits payable under this policy for any loss will be paid immediately upon receipt of due written proof of such loss, and in no event more than 60 days after receipt of due written proof of loss. All benefits payable will be paid to the Covered Person
6. How often can I call during my membership year for your 24hr Concierge Service or Emergency Medical Assistance?
As often as you like! This service is offered on an unlimited basis, at no additional cost to the member.
7. When calling for 24-hour Concierge Service and Emergency Medical Assistance can you call from outside the United States?
Yes. Premier members can call from anywhere in the world. Within the U.S. and Canada dial your Premier Members Service number listed on the back of your membership card. When calling outside the U.S. call collect 1-804-281-6710.
8. Why can't the One-Day Complimentary Rental Car benefit be used outside of the Club's territory
The Club has contracted with Enterprise Rent-A-Car to provide rental replacement vehicles to members who are within our territory, but different clubs have different preferred rental car providers. If outside our Club territory, AAA Premier members are encouraged to take advantage of their Trip Interruption benefit, which includes reimbursement for covered rental car expenses. (Note: Hertz is the Club's preferred provider for all leisure travel car rentals.)
9. If a car is towed 200 miles once during the membership year, then how many miles am I allowed for my other tows?
With a Premier Membership you are eligible for 4 allowable roadside assistance calls, all of which can be tows. Each tow will be eligible for 100 miles, however one of the roadside assistance calls may be a 200-mile tow.
10. How does the Premier RV differ from the Plus RV membership?
Premier RV members are eligible for 4 roadside assistance calls per year. A Premier RV member is allowed one 200-mile tow for their RV per household, per membership year. The other 3 allowable roadside assistance calls can be RV tows up to 100 miles. All the other Premier benefits are also available to our Premier RV members.
11. Does the home lockout service go against the 4 allowable service calls I receive each year?
No you are eligible for 1 home lockout service per household, per year.
12. What services are eligible for reimbursement under the Home Lockout benefit?
Reimbursement is limited to commercial locksmith costs to cover the cost of re-keying, changing locks or making a new key in order to gain entry to the home from outside, or if the keys are lost or stolen.
13. What does it mean to be a Hertz Gold Customer?
In over 22 countries at 42 major airports, Premier members will receive the convenience provided by Hertz #1 Club Gold of never repeating required personal information and preferences at time of reservation and bypassing the rental counter at the rental destination. Renters’ name and pre-assigned car space appears on the lighted #1 Club Gold board to direct renter to the vehicle containing the pre-printed rental agreement. Vehicles are picked up and returned under weather-protected #1 Club Gold areas. No waiting in long lines, renters simply show their drivers license at the exit gate and they are on their way.
14. What do I do to become a Hertz Gold Customer?
You can complete the application online at our website or visit one of our local AAA branch offices and one of our travel agents can sign you up. This is a $60 value for enrollment!
15. If I am already a Hertz Gold Customer and I recently became a AAA Premier Member how do I get my Hertz Gold Membership for free?
When you receive your next renewal notice from Hertz, you would then call the toll-free Gold Customer Service Desk at 1-800-227-4653 (CAR-GOLD). They will ask you for your AAA Premier membership number and our Club Name. Then they will update their system and waive the renewal fee. This process is not available online.
16. I am a Premier member but my wife is not. Can we both save the $10 service fee when we purchase Travel from AAA?
No. This benefit only applies to the Premier member.
