How to Sign a Motor Vehicle Title

When an accident causes extensive or costly damage to your vehicle, it's possible your insured vehicle will be declared a total loss.

For customers of AAA Insurance*, we require the title for any insured vehicle for which we make a total loss settlement and the procedures can vary from state to state. For all titles, make sure to write your claim number on the title so that it can be processed with the correct claim.
